What is Amino Acid?

The human body is made up with 60% water and a half of the rest (20%) is proteins and amino acids. There are millions of different proteins in the human body and each protein consists of unique sequences of 20 different kinds of amino acids. Amino Acids have various structural functions in human body producing and repairing cells such as skins, muscles, bones, hair, organs and blood.


Amino acids also have important functional role for healthy human life. Amino Acids are involved in producing enzymes, antibodies, hormones and other crucial molecules which catalyze biochemical reactions.
